New product - coconut flour

We have added organic coconut flour to our range!

Coconut flour is a great product as it is very high in fibre and protein, and can be used as a wheat flour substitute for  gluten free baking.

How to cook with it:

The extremely high fibre content in coconut flour makes it highly absorbent. This means that you will need to use more liquids than normal to all your recipes. You will also need to add more eggs for binding and leavening than normal. 

For baked goods use double the amount of eggs as you would when using plain flour. If you are not using coconut flour as a wheat replacement, you can use a mixture of 10 : 30 coconut flour and plain flour ratio. This will help reduce the need for extra liquids and eggs.
